Dunfermline attacker Steven McDougall”s season is over, specialists have confirmed.
An X-ray of his injured toe has proved inconclusive but McDougall is to see a specialist amid concerns he may need an operation.
The Pars will also be without long term casualties Stephen Glass, Andy Kirk and Graham Bayne, who underwent surgery on Thursday, for Saturday’s final home match of the season.
However, Neil McGregor is back in training and could face Morton.
Meanwhile, manager Jim McIntyre has delivered a better but not yet good enough verdict on his side’s record at East End Park.
Dunfermline have won four of their last six home games.
However, McIntyre admitted, “While we have definitely improved our record here compared to last year we are still conceding too many goals at home.
“So, while progress has been made, we’re not yet where we want to be.
“If we want to win the league next season we must strive to improve things further.”
