Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre has issued a clear message that Dundee remain formidable foes despite their administration woes.
The East End Park boss has followed events at Dens closely, as you would expect from someone about to take his players across the Tay for an important league match.
Nine of the Dundee FC squad may have lost their jobs on Friday the 15th but the Dark Blues still managed to field a side full of recognisable first team players at Stirling Albion the following day.
So McIntyre is expecting nothing less than a tough test for his league-leading Pars tomorrow.
“These past weeks have not been easy for Dundee but they have still managed to hang on to a good pool of players,” said McIntyre. “They can still put out a strong side, as was the case at Stirling, so we know we will need to be at the top of our game to beat them.
“We have to make sure we prepare properly and remember that we will be facing a team still full of quality players.
“I have no doubt we will do all that and put on a good performance.”McIntyre has received a timely boost, with Pars captain Austin McCann fit again after recovering from a medial ligament strain.
