Sleep a luxury for Raith Rovers manager John McGlynn during title chase

Raith Rovers boss John McGlynn has revealed that sleepless nights are the price he has to pay for being a football manager.
The Kirkcaldy side are involved in a three-horse first division promotion race with Falkirk and local rivals Dunfermline.
With just six games to go in this year’s campaign, it is anyone’s guess who will go up and it seems certain to be a nail-biting finish to the season.
When asked how he coped with the pressure, McGlynn said, “I don’t know if I do copeI just get on with it.
“I suppose I am a bit like most football managers and do not sleep particularly well.
“If I get to sleep, I will often wake up in the middle of the night and make a cup of tea, then spend hours working on things. It is just part and parcel of the game.
“However, this is not a new thing for me. It was the same at Hearts when I was under-19 coach and preparing for games.
“But you still have to be ready on a training day, full of beans and enthusiasm.
“We have been here before, to a certain extent, when we were in the second division, trying to win promotion.
“We have also been in a Scottish Cup semi-final so we have plenty of experience of coping with pressure.”
