Calum Elliot as surprised as anyone to be given clean bill of health

Calum Elliot says he feared the worst when he was carried off during his Dundee debut.
The striker, on loan from Hearts for a month, appeared to have suffered another knee injury after crumpling to the ground following a tackle from Raith Rovers’ Willie Dyer on Saturday.
However, having returned to Tynecastle to be assessed by their medical staff, he received the surprising news that he will be available to play against Morton at Cappielow this Saturday.
”I was absolutely distraught at the time, but thankfully there is nothing seriously wrong,” he said. ”For something like that to have happened after being out for so long through injury was really disappointing.
”But the good news is that I am doing a bit of running with a view to rejoining Dundee for training. If I am selected by the manager, hopefully I can last a bit longer against Morton.
”This will make me a stronger person, though, that’s for sure.”
