Raith Rovers boss John McGlynn is urging his side to regain the winning habit to ensure they come out on top in their mini-league at the bottom of the First Division.
The Kirkcaldy men, who challenged for promotion to the SPL last season before losing out to neighbours Dunfermline, sit in ninth place, sandwiched between Queen of the South and bottom-of-the-table Ayr United.
McGlynn said: ”There are still 36 points to play for but there is a gap emerging from the middle to the bottom three. We need to start winning to ensure we top our league that involves Queen of the South and Ayr.”
Rovers host Partick Thistle on Saturday and McGlynn is hoping to complete a hat-trick of wins over the Glasgow side this season to end a run of seven league games without a victory.
He said: ”The last time we won a game was against Partick and in fact we have beaten them twice so far this season, so we know we can do it.
”They will be motivated to stop that run but we have players back from injury and suspension and have a lot to be positive about.
”It is time for everyone to stick together and I have to say that the fans have been great. Saturday’s performance at Livingston was disappointing but the game against Hamilton was better and hopefully we can give them a win this weekend.”
