Garry Kenneth may miss chance of bidding Tannadice farewell

Dundee United central defender Garry Kenneth may have played his last game for the Tangerines after picking up a hamstring injury in training.
The 24-year-old, a stalwart in the side that lifted the Scottish Cup in 2010, is set to leave Tannadice when his contract runs out at the end of this season but had hoped to make a farewell appearance in front of his fellow United fans.
However, he is understood to have pulled up in training earlier this week and could face around a month on the sidelines. That would take Kenneth beyond the end of the season, meaning his association with the club he has supported since boyhood will come to an end without a swansong.
The Scotland international made his debut for United as a 17-year-old in 2005, and his performances helped keep Gordon Chisholm’s side in the SPL.
He went on to play in three cup finals for United and was on the winning side when they defeated Ross County to lift the Scottish Cup at Hampden two years ago.
