Brechin striker Rory McAllister will return to the team for the first leg of tonight’s play-off against Airdrie at Glebe Park.
McAllister goes into the match as the Second Division Player of the Year as well as its top scorer.
His return will be a warning to the first division full-timers that they may be favourites, but Brechin will be a tough nut to crack.
The last time the pair met was a couple of seasons ago when Airdrie were promoted to the first division, but over that season lost three of their four matches against Brechin.
McAllister is back after a one-match suspension along with defender Paul McLean and the pair now boost Jim Duffy’s injury-free squad to 16.
“When you get to this stage of the season you want to have as many players available as possible,” said Duffy.
“By getting to the play-offs we have given ourselves a chance. Airdrie are full-time, play in a higher division and until last Saturday had been on on a good run.
“We played OK on Saturday against Stirling Albion. It was a tense match and we worked very hard.
“This is basically a semi-final and if we play as well as we can then we have a decent chance.”
