Smith on a scouting mission for future Dundee FC signings

Dundee boss Barry Smith has been on a second division scouting mission so that he’s ready to hit the ground running if and when the Dens Park club emerge out of administration.
It is expected that the Dark Blues will be able to re-enter the transfer market in the close season, and Smith wants to make sure he’s done his homework.
He said, “I’ll be taking in a game tonight at Brechin, East Fife or Livingston.
“Obviously we can’t sign anyone at the moment but it’s important we try to look to next season when hopefully we’ll be out of administration.
“Matt’s (Lockwood) going to watch Queen of the South at Cowdenbeath because we’ve got them to play in a couple of weeks.”
He added, “We’re trying to cover everything whether it’s checking out future opposition or watching different teams to see if any of their players stand out and, all being well, we can make a move.
“It’s still early days to be thinking about that though.”
