Newly-promoted Dunfermline are believed to be planning to lure Rhys Weston and Nicky Riley from Dundee.
The pair, who were instrumental in helping the Dark Blues secure their first division survival, are out of contract at Dens and are thought to have impressed Pars boss Jim McIntyre.
Both players have been offered new deals by Dundee but it is understood that McIntyre has held preliminary talks with Welsh defender Weston and could soon express an interest in former Celtic winger Riley.
Dunfermline director of football Jim Leishman would not comment on the two players directly but did confirm that, “Jim McIntyre is considering several players as we prepare for life in the SPL.”
