Dundee United’s Scottish Cup quarter-final with Celtic will be played on Sunday March 8, it has been confirmed.
The game at Tannadice will also have a 3.30pm kick-off after being selected as one of the three ties to be broadcast live on TV.
United’s game will be on Sky Sports, as will Hibs’ home game against Spartans or Berwick which has been given a 12.45pm kick-off time on the Sunday.
The weekend of cup games will start on the Friday night, with Queen of the South’s game against Falkirk given a 7.35pm kick-off time to accommodate BBC Scotland coverage.
The only tie to have a traditional 3pm kick-off on the Saturday is Raith Rovers’ trip to Inverness, which will not be shown live.
Rovers said today that they are looking into the possibility of subsidising transport for fans wishing to travel north for the match.
