Eric Paton ‘doubtful’ for Dundee FC’s Partick clash

As Dundee strive to put their Stenhousemuir horror show behind them, they have been hit by a fresh injury worry.

Defender Eric Paton, who picked up a knock as the Dark Blues crashed out of the Alba Challenge Cup at Ochilview, is now rated “doubtful” for Saturday’s trip to Firhill to face Partick Thistle.

With Rhys Weston also injured, Dominic Shimmin still not fit and Netan Sansara released from his short-term contract, manager Gordon Chisholm’s defensive options could be severely limited.
