Dundee United are hoping that a visit to a chiropractor at the start of next week will help Danny Swanson hit the comeback trail.
The wide midfielder has missed a large part of the season already due to recurring pain in his hamstrings being caused by a back problem.
He is still struggling with the condition but first-team coach Gary Kirk hopes the situation will become clearer at the start of next week.
“It is looking likely that Danny will be missing for another fortnight at least,” he said. “He is going back to see his chiropractor on Monday and we should know more then.”
He added, “It is the same with Darren Dods and his knee injury. We hope his knee will have settled down by the start of next week and we will assess him again then.
“Garry Kenneth has picked up a wee hamstring strain but he should be back training next week along with Craig Conway and Barry Douglas.”
