Swansea join chase for Dundee United’s Prince Buaben

Swansea have joined Brighton in the race to sign Dundee United midfielder Prince Buaben.

The 23-year-old will play his final game for Peter Houston’s side against Hearts on Sunday before heading to pastures new.

Aberdeen and Hearts have expressed an interest in the Ghana international but it’s understood a move to the English leagues is his preferred option.

He informed Houston of his desire to leave several months ago, four years after joining on a free transfer from Ajax.

Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers has held talks with Buaben’s representatives, as have newly-promoted Brighton, so it seems certain the midfielder will get his wish of a move to the Championship or perhaps the Premier League, with the Welsh side still involved in the promotion play-offs.
