Nottingham Forest rumoured to be eyeing Saints manager Derek McInnes

A fresh wave of Derek McInnes speculation could be coming St Johnstone’s way, after it was reported that Nottingham Forest have got the Perth boss on their shortlist as a possible future manager.
Fellow Scot Billy Davies is in the City Ground hot seat but it is understood that a parting of the ways could be on the cards, as it is thought his relationship with his chairman is near breaking point.
McInnes, former Newcastle boss Chris Hughton and Watford manager Malky Mackay will be front-runners if there’s a job vacancy with the two-times European Cup winners, who narrowly missed out on making the play-off final in the English Championship.
It is only a few weeks since Brentford tried and failed to lure McInnes south, while Burnley and Watford have also been credited with an interest in him in recent times.
