Cowdenbeath have confirmed the signing of experienced former Dundee and Ross County striker Sean Higgins.
The 29-year-old has penned a one-year deal with the Blue Brazil after plying his trade with Stenhousemuir last season, scoring 10 goals in 33 outings for Scott Booth’s League One outfit.
Higgins will look to help fill the void left by Kane Hemmings and Greg Stewart, Cowden’s 40-goal partnership last term who have left for Barnsley and Dundee respectively.
A busy weekend of business also saw the Fifers officially announce new deals for key duo Thomas Flynn and Nat Wedderburn.
Goalkeeper Flynn made 27 appearances for Jimmy Nicholl’s men last season and Wedderburn was at the heart of the defence last term as Cowdenbeath secured second-tier survival.
