Arbroath keen on Dundee United’s Marc McCallum to fill goalkeeping hole

Arbroath will look to bring in Dundee United goalkeeper Marc McCallum on loan to replace injured shot-stopper David Crawford if the Tannadice man is willing to play in League Two for a third time.
The Gayfield side are keen on 21-year-old McCallum, who has made just one top-team appearance for United, after Crawford was ruled out for five months with a patella tendon injury.
However, the move has not been completed yet.
After temporary spells at Forfar in the old Second Division and Peterhead and Berwick Rangers in the bottom tier earlier in his career, McCallum is believed to be keen on playing at a higher level and Red Lichties manager Allan Moore may have to turn his attentions elsewhere as a result.
Lichties assistant manager Todd Lumsden said: “The manager has a few targets in mind to help fight Scott Morrison for the number one jersey. Nothing has been agreed as yet but we know that we have to add another keeper to our squad.”
