Raith Rovers manager Grant Murray insists he will not allow his players to dwell on the weekend’s disappointing defeat to Livingston.
Saturday turned out to be an afternoon to forget for the Stark’s Park side and the tone was set just minutes into the encounter when defender Ross Perry was sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity in the box.
Livingston scored the resulting penalty and Rovers were up against it from that point on, with Grant Anderson’s strike just before half-time proving to be nothing but a consolation as Livi ran out 5-1 winners.
Next up for Rovers is a difficult trip to Dumbarton, and Murray might have some motivating to do this week.
“I won’t stand here and feel sorry for myself and I won’t allow the players to do that,” he said.
“The best way to get this out of the system is to go and win next week it’s as simple as that.
“Dumbarton is a place where we’ve done well before, where we’ve scored goals and had results.
“I’m sure come Saturday our players will want to get the Livingston result out of their system.
“They will be hurting and it’s about how they react to it.”
