Raith Rovers boss Grant Murray will be hoping the return of two players from injury will help bolster his options over the coming weeks.
Defender Craig Barr is continuing on the comeback trail following knee surgery and was deemed fit enough for a place on the bench as Rovers went down 2-1 at Dumbarton on Saturday.
“Craig is coming along great and he’s not far away,” Murray said.
“We’ll hopefully get him involved in another Development League game and he should be pushing for a place in the squad.”
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert has also resumed training as he recovers from his shoulder injury and could be back in contention within a matter of weeks.
The 32-year-old former St Johnstone and Hamilton shot-stopper last played in the 4-0 League Cup defeat to Dundee and will have a fight on his hands if he is to reclaim the number one jersey following the recent form of David McGurn.
Murray added: “Kevin is ahead of schedule at this moment in time.
“We hope to have him back soon but it’s got to be whenever he’s ready as we don’t want to rush him.”
