Dunfermline have been handed a “mega” match to kick off the new league campaign.
The Pars landed a top-drawer opening-day fixture when the season’s fixture were released a trip to rivals Falkirk.
The Bairns have just come down from the SPL and the August 7 clash at the Falkirk Stadium will give a tantalising taste of what those two big guns have to offer in the months ahead.
“A game away to Falkirk is mega for us,” said East End Park director of football Jim Leishman.
“It is an absolutely cracking start for our players and supporters, who I expect will be looking forward to it all summer.”
The Pars host Morton on the 14th then there is another cracking away clash against Raith Rovers to follow. They take the short trip to Stirling on the 28th before welcoming Dundee on September 11.
