Former Stenhousemuir boss Martyn Corrigan has played down talk of him becoming the next manager of Montrose due to the travelling involved from his central belt home to Links Park.
Corrigan who was ousted from Ochilview in January to allow Scott Booth to come in, had been quoted as a contender for the Gable Endies hotseat, however he has not applied.
The former Falkirk, Motherwell and Kilmarnock defender said: “I am keen to get back into football and a job like the Montrose one would interest me.
“However, it would be a near 200-mile round trip for training and with a young family it would just be too much.”
“Hopefully, something will come up closer to home that will see me get back into the game.”
