Falkirk lie in wait for winners of Fife derby in Petrofac Training Cup
ByThe Courier Reporter
The winners of the rearranged Petrofac Training Cup tie between Dunfermline and Raith will face Falkirk in the second round of the competition.
The game between the Pars and the reigning cup holders was postponed on Saturday after a torrential downpour left the East End Park pitch waterlogged.
That game has been rearranged for next Tuesday, with the winners meeting the Bairns on either August 19 or 20.
The draw also paired Brechin who eliminated Championship side Cowdenbeath from the competition at the weekend with Peterhead at the Glebe, while East Fife will travel to face Highland League outfit Brora Rangers.
Second-round draw:
North section
Dunfermline or Raith Rovers v Falkirk
Brora Rangers v East Fife
Brechin v Peterhead
Stirling v Alloa
South section
Livingston v Hearts
Rangers or Hibs v Clyde
Morton v Berwick Rangers
Stranraer v Albion Rovers
