Clyde v Cowdenbeath: Nicholl awaits international clearance for Slovenian frontman

Cowdenbeath were last night anxiouslyawaiting international clearance to allow them to have their latest signing 25-year-old Slovenian striker Danijel Jurisic in their squad for their League Cup first round tie away to Clyde tomorrow.
Manager Jimmy Nicholl moved quickly to secure the 6ft 2in frontman from Austrian club SV Lannach after he had impressed in training and he is hoping the necessary clearance will come through in time.
The Cowden boss is continuing his extensive search for forwards, with Portuguese winger Domingos AgostinhoSilveiro, 22, the latest player to be given the chance of winning a contract with the Fifers.
He was expected at Central Park on Thursday night for the start of a trial period.
Nicholl, meanwhile, is telling his squad to “cut out the mistakes” that led to their shock Challenge Cup exit at the hands of Brechin last Saturday.
He said:”If we play like we did against Brechin, we will have our work cut out against Clyde, who are a good attacking side. We will have to be on the top of our game for this cup tie.”
