Forfar Athletic have set their standard in this season’s League One, according to manager Dick Campbell.
And now he wants to make sure that they don’t fall short of it.
The Loons are sitting joint top of the table on the back of successive wins (over Morton and Peterhead).
And Campbell believes their early season form suggests they have nothing to fear over the course of the campaign.
His job now is to ensure no feet are taken off the gas.
“I’m certainly very happy with the way we’ve been playing,” the Station Park boss pointed out.
“We’ve sent a clear message that we’re as good as anyone in this league.
“I’m really happy with the squad I’ve got and our last couple of performances.”
Forfar face Stirling Albion away this afternoon, and there are five points between the two sides.
That would appear to make the visitors favourites, but Campbell had a word of caution.
“The biggest problem for us is they’re coming off the back of a 5-0 defeat,” he said.
“They’ll be fired up. We need to make sure we come out for the start of the game just as determined.”
Forfar have no new injury worries, and Campbell could stick with the same team as last weekend.
Martyn Fotheringham will return to the squad, having completed the full 90 minutes in the development side’s midweek win over Stenhousemuir.
