Clyde v Arbroath: Moore tells players to pick themselves up
ByThe Courier Reporter
ALLAN MOORE has told his Arbroath team not to feel sorry for themselves.
The Red Lichties lost their unbeaten league record when they went down 2-0 at home to East Fife last weekend.
Moore admitted his players were below their best, but has backed them to prove against Clyde this afternoon it was only a blip.
He said: “It wasn’t our usual standard. We didn’t play at a high enough tempo, and when they scored their first goal we didn’t react to it well enough. We had a few opportunities to get back into the game but didn’t score, and we just have to take it on the chin.
“We’ve told the boys not to feel sorry for themselves.”
On today’s match, Moore said: “Clyde are coming off the back of a defeat as well.
“It’s a good stadium and pitch and we’ll be going there to play attacking football and take the game to them.”
Bobby Linn and Kenny Stewart should be available.
