League One high flyers Forfar will meet Championship strugglers Cowdenbeath in the third round of the William Hill Scottish Cup on November 1.
The draw was made at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh with the help of comedian Billy Connolly with another intriguing tie involving Raith Rovers who will travel to face Junior side Linlithgow Rose.
Dunfermline are also on their travels with a trip to East Stirling while Brechin will be on the road to Stenhousemuir.
East Fife though will be at home to Berwick Rangers as will either Arbroath or Montrose who drew in the cup on Saturday and face a replay this weekend with the winner set to entertain Highland League outfit Nairn County.
Elsewhere, the tie of the round sees Ally McCoist’s Rangers travelling to face fellow Championship side Dumbarton.
Cup holders St Johnstone will enter the competition in the next round, along with the rest of the Premiership sides and remaining Championship teams.
