McGlynn praises Raith Rovers’ pre-season work ethic

Raith Rovers boss John McGlynn has praised his players’ work ethic after they completed five games in just nine days.
His squad’s latest workout came over the course of last weekend at the East Fife tournament and, although Raith failed to break their pre-season duck, McGlynn is still relaxed ahead of their first serious action against Cowdenbeath in the Ramsdens Cup this Saturday.
John Baird is nursing a foot injury, although he is expected to recover in time to take part against Cowdenbeath, but Scott McBride and Dougie Hill will miss out with foot injuries of their own.
Meanwhile McGlynn is still chasing another loan signing and has reached a verbal agreement with the player.
He is awaiting his formal release by his club.
