Cowdenbeath welcome Lewis Milne back in time for Rangers clash
ByThe Courier Reporter
Despite their disappointment at having their Championship game with Rangers being postponed Cowdenbeath may have found a small silver lining in having Lewis Milne available when they return to action.
The game was called off as three of the Ibrox side’s squad Marius Zaliukas, Bilel Mohsni and Dean Shiels had received international call ups with means the Glasgow side are entitled to a postponement.
With Mohsni suspended for the Central Park game the Fifers pleaded with the SPFL not to call it off as they stood to lose £20,000 through cancelled hospitality however a re-arranged date of November 4 has been set.
The only bright spot is that Milne who suffered strained knee ligaments in last month’s 3-2 defeat from Hibs will not miss any more football and manager Jimmy Nicholl said: “Lewis would have been touch and go for the Rangers game however he should be back for our next match.”
