Cup tie in cold storage: Cowdenbeath and St Johnstone see Central Park clash postponed again

Cowdenbeath and St Johnstone’s Scottish Cup fourth round tie has again failed to beat the weather, following a pitch inspection yesterday.
It is the third time the game, which was due to be played tonight, has had to be cancelled and both teams will now have to try again at Central Park on Wednesday night at 7.45pm.
The latest postponement may be something of a blessing for Saints, who endured a taxing SPL game with St Mirren at Paisley and ended up with nine men.
Assistant boss Tommy Wright said: ”At least we’ll get a bit more time to recover.
”The recovery starts now and the boys were in training on Sunday to prepare for the game.
”The St Mirren game took a lot out of us but we’ve got a big enough squad so we’ll be able to field a team capable of winning the tie.”
