Kilmarnock to end James Fowler’s loan spell at Cowdenbeath

Cowdenbeath were dealt a blow when they learned that Kilmarnock will be recalling experienced midfielder James Fowler when his current loan deal with the Fifers runs out next week.

Fowler, 33, joined up at Central Park initially on a one-month arrangement in January, and the loan was subsequently extended by a further month. But Killie now want the player back.

His last game in Fife therefore will be next Tuesday night at home to Morton in a bottom-of-the-table Championship clash.
