Dunfermline chief urges Pars fans to be ‘12th man’ for promotion push

Dunfermline chairman Bob Garmory has issued a rallying cry to the supporters as the Pars bid to bounce back to the Championship via the play-offs.
Jim Jefferies’ side secured second place in League One at the weekend, and will enter the play-offs at the semi-final stage.
The two-legged tie will take place on May 7 and 10, and Garmory insists the fans have a huge role to play.
He said: “On behalf of the interim board, I would like to congratulate the management and players for having secured second place in the league.
“This is a magnificent achievement when one considers the circumstances under which we entered the league programme. We, the fans, need to be the club’s 12th man on the May 7 and 10 no matter who our opponents are.
“During the next three weeks, we all need to redouble our efforts to find those Pars fans who, for whatever reason, have not been coming along to support their team and ask them to join us at these games.
“Let us boost our chances of success by having a large vocal crowd supporting our team in what will be two of the most important games in our club’s illustrious 129-year history.”
