Fans backing bid for Scottish Cup final tribute to Ian Redford

Football fans have been showing their support for Scottish Cup final tribute to footballer Ian Redford.
With two of Redford’s former clubs, Dundee United and St Johnstone, meeting in the showpiece match on May 17, Tangerines supporter Angela Smith has launched an online bid to have an official tribute to the player, who died in January.
Angela said: “We didn’t get the chance at the time of his passing to fully show the fondness or appreciation with which he is remembered at both clubs.
“It’s like it was written in the stars that two of Ian’s former teams would come together in this national cup final and surely this is the perfect time to do something reflecting Ian’s career in the game.”
Angela is hoping both clubs will support the idea, and she has already won the backing of hundreds of fans of various clubs.
