Scott Wright was on target as Scotland under-17s got their UEFA European Championship campaign back on track with a 1-0 win over Germany.
The Germans made a fairly bright start to the match and the Scots were saved from going behind after a quarter of an hour by Jack Breslin’s crucial goal-line clearance.
Scotland managed to take control of the game as the first half progressed and came close to breaking the deadlock through Wright and Joe Thomson.
But the Aberdeen youngster did eventually get on the scoresheet shortly after the break.
A Calvin Miller cross found the 16-year-old frontman who headed past Timo Konigsmann.
Scot Gemmill’s side faced a late onslaught from Germany with Robby McGrorie making up for a disappointing mistake in the opener against Portugal with a fantastic stoppage time save.
But the Scots managed to hang on to their lead and go second in Group B.
