Dunfermline boss to hold talks with out-of-contract players

Jim Jefferies is set to hold talks with his out-of-contract Dunfermline players as he begins planning for another year in League One.
The Pars missed out on promotion to next season’s lucrative Championship when they went down 3-0 to rivals Cowdenbeath in Sunday’s play-off final second leg.
That leaves the future of the likes of former Hearts and St Johnstone defender Danny Grainger and on-loan Partick Thistle keeper Ryan Scully up in the air as Jefferies waits to find out his budget for next term.
However, with an idea of his finances expected by the end of the week, Jefferies is due to hold discussions with a handful of experienced and youth players today, including ex-Motherwell defender Jonathan Page, one-time Blackpool midfielder Stephen Husband and back-up keeper Ryan Goodfellow.
Jefferies said: “I’ve arranged to meet the boys. There’s some young lads and a few more experienced players, and for some it might be a case of waiting to see what happens for them in the summer.”
