Forfar chairman urges fans to snap up season tickets

Forfar chairman Alastair Donald has issued a plea to the club’s fans to snap up season tickets when they go on sale this Saturday.

The Loons need the backing of their supporters more than ever this season having decided to enter a team in the new second tier of the SPFL Under-20 Development League.

Donald said: “We appreciate there are other challenges for the supporters’ hard-earned cash but be assured we really value your contribution.”

With regard to the new league, the club issued a statement which read: “After much deliberation, Forfar Athletic officials have decided to ‘take the plunge’ and enter a side in the Under-20 Development League.

“With no Under-19 league being mooted for the coming season, this was the only opportunity available to the club to give some of the promising youngsters who have come through the ranks in recent times, continued competitive football.”
