Dundee consider move for former United striker Farid El Alagui

Courier Sport understands that Dundee are weighing up a move for former Dundee United striker Farid El Alagui.
The 29-year-old Frenchman spent the second half of last season on loan at Tannadice from Brentford but was released by the Bees in May after they had clinched promotion to the English Championship.
The Dark Blues have already added six new faces so far this summer Kevin Thomson, James McPake, Scott Bain, Simon Ferry, Greg Stewart and Phil Roberts but are keen to strengthen further before the Premiership campaign kicks off on August 9 against Kilmarnock at Dens.
El Alagui only managed three goals in 15 appearances for United.
However, he was a prolific marksman two seasons ago for Falkirk, netting 27 times in 43 games on his way to winning the PFA’s First Division Player of the Year.
Now a free agent, he could become one of a select band to have played for both city clubs if Dundee decide to take their interest further.
