Inverness CT 1 Kilmarnock 1: Kenny Shiels in trouble again
ByThe Courier Reporter
Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels was sent to the stand moments after substitute Borja Perez snatched a last-minute equaliser with his side’s first shot on goal against a dominant Inverness last night.
Nick Ross took advantage of some hesitant defending to finish off Aaron Doran’s cross midway through a one-sided first half but Inverness could not get the killer second and had a strong penalty appeal rejected when Momo Sissoko felled Billy McKay.
Borja sickened the hosts when he shot low into the net to earn his side the point that moved them into the top six of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
Shiels was sent off in injury-time for apparent dissent. Before the game he went into the away end to shake the hands of the small group of visiting fans who had braved a snow-hit A9 to follow their team.
