Jimmy Nicholl has resigned as manager of Cowdenbeath.
The Fife club were relegated to League One on the last day of the season, and Nicholl has decided that he isn’t the man to try and bring them back up to the Championship.
The Northern Irishman recently took on a role as Michael O’Neill’s assistant with the national team.
Cowdenbeath chairman Donald Findlay said: ”It is with regret that I have accepted the resignation of Jimmy Nicholl as manager of Cowdenbeath. I thank Jimmy for all his efforts on behalf of the club.It had been a privilege working with him.”
Nicholl’s resignation means Cowdenbeath join Fife neighbours Raith Rovers and Dunfermline in the hunt for a new manager.
