Brechin City chief still hoping to keep manager Ray McKinnon
ByThe Courier Reporter
Brechin City chairman Ken Ferguson insists he is not resigned to losing manager Ray McKinnon.
The Glebe gaffer has emerged as a frontrunner for the vacant managerial posts at Raith Rovers and St Mirren.
It is understood that he has been offered the job at Stark’s Park and is on the shortlist in Paisley.
However, despite all the speculation swirling around his manager’s future, Ferguson is adamant it is business as usual as Brechin gear up for next season.
He said: “Ray has been doing a good job at Brechin and we are hoping that will continue.
“We have had a fine season and he has picked up a number of manager of the month awards, so it is no surprise he is on the radar of other clubs.
“However, at this moment in time, Ray remains the manager of Brechin City and is making preparations for next season.
“We are definitely not resigned to losing him. Nothing has been agreed or arranged with other clubs.”
