Forfar boss Dick Campbell pleased with pre-season preparations

Forfar boss Dick Campbell has expressed his delight at the way his pre-season preparations have gone so far.
The veteran manager has just returned from a sunshine break and ran the rule over his players at Station Park last night.
They came back for their first pre-season sessions last week, just a month after their Championship play-off heartbreak against Alloa.
It is all a far cry from Campbell’s days as a player when there was a more leisurely lay-off before the rigours of pre-season.
He said: “I have 20 players signed and I just am waiting to hear from one more.
“To be honest, I couldn’t be happier as I am still under budget and will also have loans to use.
“The young lads we have added to the squad are all a year older and more experienced which is pleasing as well.
“The players all deserve great credit as they only had four weeks off before coming back for pre-season last week.
“When I was a player, you got a three-month break but the draw for the Petrofac Cup is next Monday and we have to be prepared for an early start to the season.”
