Forfar boss Dick Campbell will run the rule over an unnamed trialist from an English club as his side begin their pre-season run of fixtures against Highland League outfit Buckie Thistle at Station Park this afternoon.
The manager has already expressed his satisfaction with the strength of his squad as the Angus side gear up for another promotion push.
However, with Dale Hilson having left to join Queen of the South, Campbell is looking to add another striker to his roster.
The veteran boss also revealed that new signing Bryan Hodge will have to sit out today’s game following a training ground accident.
Campbell said: “We will have a trialist from an English club playing against Buckie.
“I am still on the look-out for a striker and I will also give some of the younger lads a run-out.
“Bryan Hodge will be missing though as he broke his nose in training earlier this week.
“It was just an accident but it looks like he will be out for a fortnight.”
The game kicks off at 3pm with reduced admission charges of £6 for adults, £3 concessions.
Season tickets will be on sale at the ground on Saturday from 10am to 11am and from 2pm to 3pm.
The 1984 Lounge will be open from 1.30pm.
