Raith Rovers boss Ray McKinnon is looking for more signs of progress as his Kirkcaldy men take on Dundee in their third pre-season game. The Stark’s Park side lost 2-0 to Hearts last Tuesday and then went down to Aberdeen by the same score on Sunday however former Brechin boss McKinnon has seen more than enough from his men to be positive.
McKinnon said: “We wanted a testing pre-season and we are getting that. We have been pretty solid in our two games so far and created chances however we have dropped out of things before the end.
“That happened especially against Aberdeen however they are a side that have already played in Europe this season so it was not unexpected as they were fitter than us.
“The Dundee game will be just as hard as the Hearts and Aberdeen one and that is great for us as you want to be tested just now. We want to show progression in every game and if I see progression from Sunday’s in this one I will be pleased.”
Any goals against will not come from on-loan Dens Park striker Craig Wighton who will sit the match out, with Mark Stewart coming in to replace the teenager.
