East Fife manager Gary Naysmith is confident his men will have no problem lifting themselves physically and mentally to visit Queen’s Park just four days after losing to Motherwell in extra-time.
The Bayview side led the Premiership side in their Scottish League Cup tie, however a late Scott McDonald goal forced the extra 30 minutes with the Fir Park side winning 3-1.
There will be no hangover though according to Naysmith.
He said: “Thankfully we have very fit boys who came in and trained well on Thursday night. Also we are going to play at the national stadium and everyone gets a lift from that.
“It will be a tight game at Hampden against a Queen’s Park side that have impressed me over the last 18 months. I reckon that they will finish in the top four.”
Naysmith added: “We have had Queen’s Park watched a couple of times and they have played a couple of different formations.
“They have gone with three at the back and then four at the back. We spent a good bit of time on Thursday preparing for both and hopefully that will stand us in good stead.”
