Forfar Athletic have parted company with veteran striker Chris Templeman.
The 35-year-old, who joined the Station Park outfit from East Fife in May 2009, made 268 appearances for the Loons, netting 68 goals.
However, his first-team starting opportunities have been limited this season and, following discussions with manager Gary Bollan, Templeman has decided to pursue his career elsewhere, with rumours of interest from Angus rivals Brechin City and Montrose.
Templeman began his career with Dunfermline and, after loan spells with Stirling Albion and Dumbarton, joined Brechin in 2001.
He helped the Glebe Park side win the Third Division title in 2002 before a move to Morton in December 2004.
News of Templeman’s departure came just 24 hours after the Loons brought in freed Hamilton Accies striker Andy Ryan.
