Peterhead v Brechin: Dods looking repeat performance
ByThe Courier Reporter
Brechin player/ manager Darren Dods wants his men to return to the form that saw them defeat Peterhead earlier in the season when the sides meet again at Balmoor.
Dods, who has bolstered his squad with the addition of 22-year-old Airdrie midfielder Liam Watt on an emergency loan, is looking for the same again and a much-needed boost to his side’s hopes of avoiding relegation issues.
A win against the Blue Toon would go a long way to make up for the low on Tuesday night when Brechin went down 4-1 at Albion Rovers, with Dods saying: “It was a disappointing performance and we cannot get away from that.
“We had started well and created a few chances but never made a breakthrough.”
David Weatherston is the only absentee, with the striker out with a groin problem.
Peterhead welcome back Scott Ross and Jordan Brown after bans.
Captain Steven Noble will miss out as he is still suspended.
The Blue Toon’s only injury concern is former Dundee striker Leighton McIntosh, who is struggling with an ankle problem.
