Montrose boss Stuart Garden wants to see their resentment at having to travel to Berwick for the second time in seven days taken on to the pitch in the rearranged fixture this evening.
The original match was called off during the warm-up after the Shielfield Park floodlights failed, and the SPFL rescheduled it for the following week.
Garden was angry at the decision and his fears about player availability have come to pass, with one certain starter unable to get the day off work and two others a doubt for the same reason.
He’s frustrated and he expects his team to feel the same way.
He said: “You can’t blame the employers because this game has been put on at such short notice. It isn’t as if we have players coming from Edinburgh we’ve got five or six from Aberdeen.
“There is definitely one who won’t be travelling, and if the other two can’t make it we could have just 13 players.
“I’m frustrated and hopefully the players will see it like that as well. With a bit more common sense it could have been arranged for later in the season.”
Montrose have the chance to go second top of League 2 if they win.
“That’s the incentive,” Garden said. “And then we’ve got a home game on Saturday.
“Our performance at the weekend wasn’t the best (against Albion Rovers), but sometimes you have to win ugly, and that’s what we did. Hopefully we can follow it up with another win.”
Alan Campbell and Lloyd Young are out but Ricky McIntosh should be available.
