Brechin boss Darren Dods is looking to fellow League One rivals Stranraer for inspiration as he tries to haul his side off the foot of the table.
Back in December, City sent the Blues to the bottom of the league with a 2-0 win at the Glebe.
Since then though, Stranraer have won five out of their last six league games and are now sitting in fifth place.
Dods is now hoping his team can embark on a similar sustained run of success starting this afternoon at Albion Rovers.
He said: “I would have liked to have brought one or two more in during the window but I still have a couple of emergency loans to use up before the end of March.
“I did manage to bring in Lucas Culjak from Aberdeen and I felt he did really well on his debut at Stenhousemuir in midweek. He settled in quickly and looked assured even up against an experienced striker like Colin McMenamin.
“Last week against Stranraer, I felt in the second half in particular that we had played as individuals not as a team and I asked and received a reaction against Stenhousemuir on Tuesday night.
“We created enough chances but just couldn’t take them and had to settle for a point.
“Andy Jackson in particular went close with a couple of shots just past the post and if we can get a regular supply to him and Robert Thomson then I am sure they have goals in them.
Dods added: “We know we have to get wins on board.
“We beat Stranraer back in December but since then, they have won five out of six and have raced up the table so we need to have the belief that we can put a similar run together.
“We still have to play Cowdenbeath twice and after Saturday’s game at Albion Rovers, eight out of our last 13 matches are at home so there is still all to play for.”
Brechin will be without Darren McCormack who damaged his hamstring during the Stenhousemuir game and he is set to spend a few weeks on the sidelines although there is better news on Paul McLean who should return from injury a week on Saturday.
