Raith Rovers are to give season ticket holders a one-off opportunity to purchase the guaranteed right to tickets for the Ramsdens Cup final against Rangers in April.
The Kirkcaldy club have been working with their Ibrox counterparts and the SPFL to finalise arrangements for the April 6 showpiece at Easter Road, and these should be announced at a later date.
However, with Rovers expecting unprecedented demand for tickets for the clash, the club have taken action to ensure that regular supporters are given the highest priority when it comes to buying tickets.
Season ticket holders including half season ticket holders will be able to pay for the rights to up to two tickets each if they get down to Stark’s Park on Wednesday between 10am and 7pm. A voucher will be issued entitling supporters to simply collect their tickets when they become available.
The arrangement follows the club’s decision to implement a voucher scheme to fans paying at the gate at recent home games that will similarly guarantee priority.
Ticket allocation and segregation arrangements for the game at Easter Road are still said to be under discussion, but ticket pricing has already been agreed with the SPFL and Rangers.
An adult ticket for the cup final will cost £20, while children under the age of 16 will get in for £10.
Meanwhile, the club’s board have decided to cut admission prices for this weekend’s home derby against Cowdenbeath to £15 for adults and £7 for concessions.
