Rab Douglas is on the verge of signing for his ninth club at age of 43.
The former Dundee, Celtic and Scotland keeper quit Forfar a few weeks ago after Dick Campbell was sacked.
Now League One Stenhousemuir have been in contact with Douglas with a view to bringing him to Ochilview.
The Warriors are looking for a number one after losing the services of Matty Gould, the son of Jonathan Gould, who fought it out with Douglas for a starting jersey at Parkhead.
Manager Brown Ferguson said: “We are looking for another goalkeeper so it makes sense to look at the possibility of bringing in someone with Rab’s experience.”
