Raith Rovers manager Grant Murray admits he will have some tough decisions to make this week with regard to team selection for Saturday’s Scottish Cup quarter-final.
Victory over Premiership high-fliers Inverness will put Rovers into their second Hampden semi in just five years and edge them a step closer to a possible final appearance.
But with a squad of players itching to play a part, and the likes of striker Christian Nade back from suspension, Murray has a sizeable selection headache before the weekend.
“It’s such a big game that everyone wants to be involved in it,” the Raith boss commented.
“It’s a quarter-final of a Scottish Cup and sometimes you’ll get guys who haven’t featured in games like this so it’s a big occasion for them.
“We’re certainly looking forward to it and we know it’s a big ask.
“We’re coming up against a side who are bang on form, going for a European spot and possibly a Champions League spot you never know.
“But we’ve got to take care of that when it comes along.”
A number of players staked a claim for inclusion in Murray’s starting line-up during Saturday’s 2-0 win at Livingston in the league, with the likes of defender Craig Barr making his long-awaited Raith debut and striker Lewis Vaughan grabbing a goal.
