Forfar boss Dick Campbell has been voted League One Manager of the Month for March after guiding his side to four wins out of five.
The Station Park side beat promotion rivals Morton, Stranraer and Brechin City, as well as bottom club Stirling Albion. Their only defeat was to Peterhead.
Forfar continued their good run with a 3-1 victory at Stenhousemuir on Saturday and go into the weekend’s home game against Airdrieonians just a point behind leaders Stranraer.
It is the second award of the season for Campbell, who has one more than 25 in his career.
He said: “I am just the guy who leads the team, we are having a great season and that is because of the players. We have achieved what our objective was. I have experienced players that every team in the league would like, like Darren Dodds and Rab Douglas who are magnificent examples to every young footballer. But I also have a young squad, with pace. I have a very good football team.“
The SPFL’s monthly awards are held in conjunction with the Scottish Football Writers’ Association, with winners voted for by members of the Scottish media.
